Accessibility Statement
The Precision Wellness Practice is committed to making precisionwellnesspractice.com and all associated content accessible to people with disabilities. We view accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time task.
1. Our Commitment
We believe every practitioner, regardless of ability, should be able to access information about our programs, navigate our website, and engage with our content without barriers. We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target standard.
This statement applies to the primary website at precisionwellnesspractice.com. Subdomain pages and third-party embedded tools may have separate accessibility characteristics described in Section 5.
2. Measures Taken to Support Accessibility
In building and maintaining this website, we have implemented the following:
- Semantic HTML structure: Pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3) so screen readers can navigate content logically without relying on visual layout
- Alternative text: Meaningful images include descriptive alt text; decorative images use empty alt attributes to avoid clutter for screen reader users
- Keyboard navigation: Interactive elements including buttons, links, and form fields are operable via keyboard
- Minimum font size: Body text is set at a minimum of 20px across all pages to support readability
- Color contrast: Text and background combinations are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
- Responsive design: The website adapts to desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes and orientations
- No autoplay: We do not use auto-playing audio or video
- Descriptive link text: Links use descriptive labels rather than generic phrases like “click here”
- Focus indicators: Visible focus states are maintained for keyboard navigation
- Form labels: Form fields include visible labels and accessible error messaging
3. Known Limitations
We acknowledge the following areas where full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance has not yet been achieved:
- Video captions: Some older embedded video testimonials and workshop recordings may not have complete closed captions or transcripts. We are working to add these.
- Complex animated elements: Some scroll-reveal animations may present issues for users with motion sensitivity. We are reviewing these against the WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 2.3.3 (Animation from Interactions).
- PDF resources: Downloadable PDF documents may not be fully tagged for screen reader accessibility. We are working to remediate these.
- Third-party tools: Booking widgets, checkout pages, and CRM-delivered forms are managed by external providers (Practice Better, ThriveCart, GoHighLevel) and may have their own accessibility constraints outside our direct control.
We prioritize accessibility improvements in our ongoing development process and will update this statement as gaps are resolved.
4. Third-Party Content and Tools
The following third-party platforms are integrated into our website or program delivery. Their accessibility is governed by their own statements and policies:
- Practice Better (booking and scheduling): practicebetter.io
- GoHighLevel (forms and automation): gohighlevel.com
- ThriveCart (checkout): thrivecart.com
- Zoom (online events): zoom.us/accessibility
- YouTube (video content): YouTube Accessibility
Where third-party tools present accessibility barriers, we encourage users to contact those providers directly and to contact us if you need an alternative way to access the information or service.
5. Assistive Technology Compatibility
Our website is designed to be compatible with modern assistive technologies including:
- Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), TalkBack (Android)
- Browser zoom and text resizing tools (up to 200% without loss of functionality)
- Keyboard-only navigation
- High contrast display modes
- Speech recognition software including Dragon NaturallySpeaking
If you experience compatibility issues with a specific assistive technology or browser, please let us know the details and we will investigate.
6. Requesting Accessible Alternatives
If you are unable to access any content or feature on our website due to a disability, we will work with you to provide the information in an accessible alternative format. Please contact us with your request and we will respond within 5 business days.
Examples of how we can help:
- Providing text transcripts of video or audio content
- Assisting you through the application or booking process by phone or email
- Delivering program materials in an alternative format where feasible
7. Feedback and Contact
